Why You Need To Train Your Rottweiler

While Rottweilers are loving dogs, and devoted to their owners you need to also look at the fact that these dogs are extremely power, and if not properly trained can become dangerous. They possess the power to inflict harm on you and other pets in your home, so you need to start when they are a puppy training them the right way.

By nature Rottweilers are Fearless and they know that they are the boss.  What you want to do with training is make sure first all they know you are the boss, that they are loved, and that good behavior will always be rewarded.

When this is accomplished you find yourself with an amazing pet, that will bring your family years of happiness and love.

Rottweiler Training Basics

As these dogs are extremely intelligent and eager to be loved, Rottweiler training is
not a tough job at all. Training a Rottweiler puppy is a good decision that will ensure your
safety and most importantly the assurance that you will have a good control over it. Based on
observations, Rottweiler puppies are curious and like to chew and lick on almost anything their
teeth could sink into like electrical cords so you must see to it that the environment is puppy-
friendly.

Take into consideration that your dog is easily distracted so it is desirable to train in a
quiet place. Be persistent and patient enough so you can handle the training well and end up
satisfied. Before moving on with another task, check if the dog has learned the basic commands like sitting and staying. Reward your dog when a task is carried out well.

After spending days and weeks working on the basics and your puppy getting used to you and your family, you can start to begin associating your dog with your friends and other dogs as well so that your dog will not be unsociable and will know that you and your family are not the only people existing in this world. The dog has to properly socialize to lessen the possibility of serious attacks to strangers.

Rottweiler Training: Walks & Care

You can also go on a walk with your dog every day ten blocks or more to prevent boredom on its part as it needs to exercise not only physically but also mentally. Make sure you can provide the Rottweiler with the exercise it requires. Remember that every dog is different so
must learn to know your dog so that your relationship with it will be mutual and healthy.

Treating dogs with great care, proper training and love is not that easy after all. We can’t
deny the fact that we are human beings and they are animals. We don’t understand them as much as we want to but learning to embrace what they are will enable us to see their importance and their sincerity to become part of the family.
